We will be going through some summer maintenance on our site in preparation for the fall, however you can still find helpful information about youth stuff on the heartland website (www.heartlandalliance.ca).

The Gate Year Ender at Long Lake!

Saturday, June 19th, 2010, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

All youth, their parents and young adults are invited! Meet at the church at 10 a.m. We'll take a bus from Heartland out to Long Lake and spend the day there tubing, eating, and hanging out. That afternoon before we leave, we'll have our Gate Service on the beach... :)

Pick up is back at Heartland at 8 p.m.

Cost is $5 per person, plus bring whatever extra spending money you want. (There is tasty soft serve ice cream available there!)

Also to bring:

- towel and swim suit

- change of clothes

- lawn chair

- baseball gloves, etc...

Welcome to Japan! This Saturday (June 12th) we will be bringing Japan to you! Test yourself in the chopstick and wasabi challenges, or face off against your friends in sumo suits! Lots of snacks and other asian inspired activities. $5. Soko o sanshō shite kudasai! (See you there!)

Lets try this again... This Saturday (June 5th) we will be going to Broadmoor Lake Park (by Festival Place) to play in the grass! Frisbee, Soccer, and general fun in the sun! Pick up will be AT FESTIVAL PLACE at 10:30pm, so make sure you let your ride know. $5. See you there!

No GATE This Week

Hey Everyone

Just a reminder that we will not be having a GATE service this Saturday, May 29th because of YC. We will resume our normal GATE activites one week later on Saturday, June 5th back at Victory.

This Saturday (May 22nd) we're going to celebrate the long weekend by heading out to Broadmoor Lake Park (Festival Place) to play some frisbee / soccer / what-have-you, eat some snacks and enjoy the weather. $5 Pick up will be from Broadmoor Park at 10:30pm, so make sure you let your ride know not to go to Heartland. The Gate youth and Young Adult service continues this Saturday at Victory! However...

This Saturday (May 15th) there will be NO youth event after the service. Stay tuned for next week's exciting shenanigans...

Hey everyone! This week's youth event (May 8th) will be a photo scavenger hunt! Please bring a digital camera with a connector cord to make sure we have enough for each car-team. $5. Pick up is at 10:30 p.m. See you then!

This Saturday, May 1st, the Gate his having a Baptism service! Come join us for the "After Party" back at Heartland in the Youth Room. $5. Watch the best you-tube videos, eat snacks, play board games or just hang out. See you then! :)

IMPORTANT update about the youth event this weekend...

One of the games we're playing this Saturday requires SOCKS, so please make sure that you wear (or at least, bring...) a pair that night!

This Saturday (April 24th) is Cortez's last official week at the Gate (sad face...), so we're going to celebrate him with a party/games night this week after the service! Munchies, a few goofy games, and hang out time. It's still $5, and pick up is at 10:30 p.m. See you then! :)

The GATE - This Saturday - April 3rd

Hey Everybody

Hope to see you all out at the GATE this Saturday as we celebrate what Easter is all about! Bring your friends, family, whoever you may want!

After the service we are having a hang out time back at Heartland with movie, wii, board games and food. The hang out goes from 8ish till 10:30pm. Its free if its your first time. if not then its gonna cost you $5 bucks!
